We Enjoyed Seeing You!!

Snow Rondi 2023 was a great weekend of fun filled events.

The Drawing Contest had some great entries!  The winning drawing for the 2023 Snow Rondi Pin (pre K - 3rd grade) was Dylan Cook!  And the winner for the 2023 Snow Rondi Banner (4th-8th grade) was Emlia Lucas!

The Anchor Point Community Breakfast had a great turnout for the Buffet Style Breakfast starting Saturday off great!  There was lots of great things to choose from like Biscuits & Gravy, Pancakes, French Toast, Eggs, Bacon or Sausage, Coffee and Juice.  Then there was Cinnamon Buns for everyone, a definite favorite!

The Parade was staged behind Chapman School and got off to a nice start. The VFW pulling their Red, White & Blue float & a snowman side by side flying Old Glory was followed by Four Western Emergency Services Vehicles.  The kids on foot couldn’t keep up with the vehicles but eventually, they made it!  A Trooper drove just in front of the Walking group from the Anchor Point Senior Center.  The Kenai Peninsula 4-H marched and carried their banner.  Several of the kids were extra cute wearing blow up chicken costumes. They were joined by a miniature horse pulling a miniature cart!

We had several personal vehicles and and some great passengers throwing candy!

The Chapman Ski Team had a great homemade float featuring a giant snow covered skier with real skis and ski poles! The team tossed out hand packed single serve s'mores as they drove by.

The Anchor Point Food Pantry drove their box truck and tossed candy to onlookers.

Families moved on the the VFW and had a blast as their kids were grasping at straws for buried treasure.  Shout out to the AP Library for putting on this fun Coin Hunt!

Then down to the Golf Course Driving Range for Kids Snowshoe Races.  The Anchor Point Food Pantry was awesome, they had hot coco & mac chili available for everyone. The kids won small trophies and 1st, 2nd & 3rd medals, along with candy bars!  There wasn’t a whole lot of kids but it was a great time with the kids running in several different races and winning multiple trophies and medals. And since they were already in their snowshoes preparing for the next event, the adults even ran in a race or two!

Then it was the adults turn - Snowshoe Softball.  Even with the rough start trying to find enough people to play, they ended up with two teams of 6 - Jamboree style. They played four innings and had Lots of Fun!!  As a prize, the players all went to the VFW for drinks.
